Finnish demolition and drilling contractor Tampereen Porausteam uses the electric Avant e527 in interior demolition. The long operating time and price-quality ratio of the loader impressed the company.
When Tampereen Porausteam replaced their old Avant e6 with a new Avant e527, the new loader quickly showed its strengths in demolition work inside a shopping centre.
“The e527 has a lot of power, and the battery life is great – significantly better than in the previous model. We have never run out of power in the middle of the working day,” says CEO Sakari Haapaniemi.
The Avant e527 features a top-quality 27 kWh Avant OptiTemp battery manufactured by Avant Power in Finland. The capacity is now doubled compared to the predecessor, the Avant e6 loader. Avant’s own state-of-the-art battery production guarantees the best price in relation to battery capacity.
“The price was almost the same as the price of the Avant e6,” says Haapaniemi.
Inside the shopping center, the electric loader spared the driver, the shopping center staff and customers from exhaust fumes. The e-loader’s combination of efficiency, agility and zero emissions is unbeatable.
“And it doesn’t make noise, so the only noise comes from the work itself.”
Few defects, easy maintenance
For the past 10 years, Tampereen Porausteam has always had at least two Avant loaders, mainly for demolition work.
“The best things about Avant are reliability and low failure rate. If we’ve needed to replace some wearing parts, we have always received spare parts at a day’s notice, and the maintenance really works,” says Haapaniemi.
After six years of experience with Avant’s electric loaders, the CEO is particularly pleased with the small number of maintenance items. “We have come a long way with just greasing.
